ADHD does not have to be seen as a mental disorder.  Rather, it’s a trait—with positive and negative aspects.  The person with ADHD possesses a unique mind.  On the positive side, you are abundant with creativity, energy, and originality.  On the negative side, you may have trouble sustaining focus, getting organized, and following through; you may regularly battle with impatience and frustration.  Until you learn to work with your unique mind, you may find yourself chronically failing to reach your potential, experiencing disharmony in your relationships, and feeling the shame and pain of not being who you want to be.

We take a strength based approach to working with ADHD.  We start with your innate talents and interests.  We teach you to capitalize on these strengths rather than spending your time managing your weaknesses.  This naturally brings enthusiasm, hope, and excitement to the work and builds a foundation for success.

We specialize in working with ADHD adults.  We also work with couples where one partner has ADHD.  Our method combines developing the practical skills to decrease distraction, manage emotional reactions and impulsivity, and enhance organization; and addresses the psychological consequences of having ADHD: low self-esteem, shame, anxiety, and depression.
